Foscarini, headquarter in lighting street

During Milan Design Week the company inaugurates the new Milanese headquarters in Corso Monforte. Inside the store also the news that will be presented to Euroluce

Milan Design Week 2019 is the official moment for Foscarini to present its new Milanese headquarters, for which one of the most strategic points on the city’s design map has been selected: Corso Monforte, known in professional circles as “lighting street” thanks to the array of outstanding brands in the field of lighting design.

“This choice comes from the desire to get even closer to end consumers and the community of designers and specifiers”, says Carlo Urbinati, president of Foscarini, “making our know-how in production, design and innovation available to all of them”.

With this objective, a large space has been created in the heart of this lighting district, with a layout on multiple levels, ideal to narrate the Foscarini universe from its multiple viewpoints. The showroom will not just be a place of display and sale of the collections, but also a facility for encounters with clients and professionals, who can rely on a team of experts ready to respond to the multiple, complex needs of the market. Interaction, experience, discovery: these are the key terms that have guided the formulation of Foscarini Spazio Monforte.

“The architecture of the space”, says Ferruccio Laviani, creator of the project, “has been reorganised and defined in terms of simplicity, making the volumes as ample and versatile as possible, while the materials – kept with their natural finish – leave the products free to express themselves, and to be understood. On the ground level”, he continues, “the display space has been designed for use as a zone of sale and reception, but also as a setting for artistic installations and product presentations”.

Together with the company’s iconic pieces, Spazio Monforte will feature the new items presented at the Fair. Among the designers who have worked for Euroluce 2019, there are names already familiar to the company, including Marc Sadler, Andrea Anastasio, Ferruccio Laviani, Roberto Palomba, but also new collaborations with talents like Ilaria Marelli and Tord Boontje.
