Sadler is the new Art Director for Olev

The multi-award winning designer has created four new product lines. The collections will presented at Euroluce

Important new developments at Olev. The company has decided to entrust its art direction to Marc Sadler, a prominent figure in the world of design. His experience is not limited to interior design alone, but also extends to sectors that are diametrically opposed, like sports and home appliances.
Over the course of his career he has earned many awards, including the ADI Compasso d’Oro (four times) thanks to his lamps Drop (Flos, 1994), Tite and Mite (Foscarini, 2001), his Big bookcase (Caimi Brevetti, 2008), and the Bellevue refrigerated ice cream counter with Panorama technology (IFI, 2014).

It was his talent as a designer that pushed Olev to select him to lead their shared mission of integrated design. Working with the entire manufacturing organisation, Sadler’s role has therefore come to include not only creative aspects but, above all, a re-examination of the company system.

The presentation of the new products will take place during Euroluce, a trade show in which Olev will be participating for the first time. Sadler has designed four new product lines for a total of over 70 lamps and lighting fixtures, among which Flamingo stands out: an articulated LED lamp (rotating on the vertical axis 120°, and the head 175°) with a minimalist design.

Made up of three elements (head, shaft, and arm), it is constructed entirely in carbon, a material that guarantees the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, ensuring its durability over time.
Flamingo is available in a floor version with titanium finish (h 150 cm) and a table version with bronze finish (h 70 cm).
