No Code Generation

An opportunity for young people. Istituto Marangoni and Cappellini, with the patronage of ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, have launched a new challenge for young designers throughout the world. The participants are asked to imagine a design addressed to the “No Code Generation”: the new nomadic generation that travels the world in an “intelligent” and fluid way.

“The International design Contest is a key appointment for Istituto Marangoni, because it allows us to attract the best talents from all over the world.” comments Mark Anderson, Director of Education of Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Design. “Indeed, thanks to the most recent editions, we have begun collaboration with some brilliant designers, such as Matteo Agati, winner of the second edition and today brand Ambassador of the School of Design. We hope to continue in this direction.”

For the fifth edition of the competition, the candidates are asked to present designs concerning furnishing for a living or sleep area. Until 6 May the graduates in Product, Industrial, Interior Design or in Architecture, or professionals with relevant experience in the sector, can enrol to participate in the competition.

The designer of the best project will win the scholarship offered by the company Cappellini to participate in the Master of Italian Product & Furniture Design, which will take place at the School of Design of Istituto Marangoni starting in October 2019, in addition to the possibility of an exclusive internship in Cappellini.

The ideas will be evaluated by a jury comprised of Istituto Marangoni Academic Committee, Giulio Cappellini, Architect, Designer and Brand Ambassador of Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Design, as well as President of the jury, and Luciano Galimberti, President of ADI, and the winner will be selected on the basis of the consistency with the theme and the capacity of synthesis of the concept.
