Among new products and reinterpretations

Dedon launches new outdoor collections. Aiir, Mbrace and Brea are highlighted on the stand at Imm Cologne

Dedon’s 2019 began at Imm Cologne, where it presented not only its new products, but also some contemporary interpretations of some of their classics. The products reflect the philosophy of the brand specialising in the creation of outdoor furniture, which searches for the perfect fusion between innovative materials for outdoor use and the fine taste of interior design.

Standing out is the reinterpretation of the classic Aiir shell chair, design by GamFratesi. This is the first Dedon collection to incorporate injection moulded seats, creating the perfect combination with the environment in which it is inserted. In fact, it draws its inspiration from the forest, and the vertical slats of the backrest seem to want to remind us of thin trunks that allow the wind and the light to pass through, creating landscapes that are rarefied and at the same time defined.

Winner of many awards is the Mbrace group for the dining area, designed by Sebastian Herkner, and characterised by its modern mix of teak and interwoven fibre.
In Cologne, Dedon presented the new look of padding for the rocking chair.
Upholstered with the company’s exclusive fabrics, the cushion attaches to the chair with a toggle clamping system.

Brea, design di Edward Barber e Jay Osgerby
Brea, design di Edward Barber e Jay Osgerby

Designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, the hallmark of Brea is the fusion of aesthetics with practicality. Legs and connectors are made of cast aluminium and they join the frame, arms and tubular backrest. From club chair to corner sofa, double daybed or large 3-seater sofa: Brea proves itself to be varied and versatile, capable of adapting to every need.
