Porada does not forget its origins, on the contrary, they underpin the launch of new products. “Everything comes from the love of wood” is the memorable slogan on the pages of the company’s website. Looking at the company’s stand at Maison&Objet, this material is finding new life and is the essence of four articles of furniture, Argo, Quadrifoglio, Tony and Infinity.
The material element that has marked the history of the brand, that is, skilfully-worked and shaped Canaletto walnut, also appears in this furniture. David Dolcini designed the Argo modular seating system by combining the solid Canaletto walnut of the base with the brushed brass of the feet. There is a wide range of options for upholstery in the fabrics of the collection.
The Quadrifoglio table is very striking. The shape resembles a modern smartphone: a rectangular top in solid ash with back-painted glass or rock inside. The four retractable legs have feet in brushed brass. Contemporary furniture that retains the elegance of Porada.
As regards Tony, this triangular coffee table displays the craftsmanship of Italian know-how. The three legs are also made of solid ash with a top in tempered bevelled glass. It offers the option of stacking up to three units.
No excess for Infinity, the dining table with a solid Canaletto walnut base mounted on a metal plate and top in tempered glass. A linear form embellished with the veining of the top that enhances not only the product but also the surrounding environment.
