Imm Cologne represents the best showcase for launching the new products of 2019. B&B Italia is quite aware of it, as they will be presenting Ribes, the new modular seating system designed by Antonio Citterio at the Koelnmesse trade fair centre.
Already from the first glance one notices the softness and comfort that are the result of the high quality material used. Citterio’s sofas, chaise lounges, central and final elements and poufs put the accent on the theme of flexibility, customising, colour and, indeed, on the care taken in the choice of the materials.
Ribes looks perfect both in indoor and outdoor environments, thanks to the variety of choices available to the customer. Ideal also for areas of passage between two environments or for furnishing spaces such as verandas.
The “futon” base has flexible slats in fibreglass, placed on an aluminium structure, on which it is possible to fasten armrests and backrests any way one chooses, available in two different types: as a frame with an interweaving of polypropylene fibre or with rollers. Relaxation is guaranteed by the seat cushions, designed as mattresses, and various types of backrests and armrests, all made with a new padding that gives Ribes a particularly soft appearance.
The structure can be painted in the colours of anthracite, sage and clay. The patterns of the fabrics, on the other hand, are inspired by South American culture: the cushions of the seat, back and armrests can in fact be dressed in any way one pleases, with fabrics having wide stripes, narrow stripes, dots or solid colour, and all the solutions are available in various shades that can be coordinated with one another. One can even choose the colours of the profiles, available in natural, blue and red.
