Look Pedrali

The Elav brand, which combines a brewery and exclusive restaurant, is opening in the centre of Bergamo’s Upper City with ELAV Kitchen & Beer. The spectacular location was designed and constructed by architect Francesca Perani and MargStudio (Annalisa Grasselli and Matteo Rota). The space’s most striking feature is an impressive 8-metre long counter made with a special coating formed of resin mixed with grit and hay. Positioned at its centre is a beer tap system consisting of 7 brushed steel tubes, each dedicated to a single type of beer.

The chairs and stools are from Pedrali’s Babila collection designed by Odo Fioravanti, made of wood that contrasts with the more industrial style of the Arki-Base table. The concrete coffered ceiling is perfectly suited to the warm, welcoming lighting that dialogues with the dark tones of the Pedrali furniture and walnut boiserie.

Also in the heart of Bergamo, in the very central Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Pedrali has furnished the Ristorante Ezio Gritti, whose chef was awarded a Michelin star in 2005. This sophisticated urban-chic restaurant, which features large prints of the old fair in Bergamo framing the walls of the central room, was decorated with the Malmö chairs designed by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo in the black leather version, as well as the Arki-Table tables, which have a white metal structure and a double top in a contrasting color.

The elegant outdoor terrace is punctuated by Kado vases and features Ara Lounge chairs designed by Jorge Pensi, Intrigo chairs by Marco Pocci and Claudio Dondoli, and Fabbrico and Ikon tables by Pio and Tito Toso.

In Fontanellato, the charming Franco Maria Ricci cultural park contains the largest maze in the world (consisting entirely of bamboo plants). The park contains the Il Labirinto della Masone shop, café and restaurant, managed by Massimo Spigaroli, a local Michelin-starred chef, together with Rocco Stabellini. Pedrali supplied the restaurant with the Tivoli wooden chairs, designed by Cazzaniga, Mandelli and Pagliarulo.

The Labirinto café, which is perfect for enjoying a refreshment, has furniture with a young, fresh mood, consisting of the Volt chairs and Modus padded, modular seating. The lightweight, yet robust tables in the Ypsilon collection, designed by Jorge Pensi, are perfect for the outdoor area.
