The exhibition will be curated by Olivier Gabet, Dominique Forest, Sophie Bouilhet-Dumas and Salvatore Licitra, who have defined Gio Ponti as an eclectic maker, interested in both industrial production and craftsmanship, and capable of enhancing post-war architecture and indicating the way for a new art of living.
The exhibition traces more than 50 years of Gio Ponti’s career between the ’20s and ’70s, hosting more than 500 works, some exhibited for the first time, in an installation by Wilmotte & Associés. Architectural illustrations, furnishings, ceramics, lamps, glass and magazines will be part of the exhibition.

Furthermore Molteni&C will contribute to the realization of the exhibition by lending the Musée des Arts Décoratifs original furnishings that belong to the Molteni Museum. The revitalization project inaugurated by the Brianza-based company – started in 2010 – gave rise to the Heritage collection which today includes 14 furnishings in 21 variations such as the Montecatini chair designed in 1935, various types of folding armchairs including the historic D.153.1, tables, chests of drawers, bookcases and frames made in the 1950s.
