There is marked contrast between the wild beauty of the Wadi Hanifa valley and the sophistication and style of Roberto Cavalli’s design for the villas that make up the Mirabilia project, which aims to capture the imagination of an elite customer bracket.
In addition to villas, there are retail, commercial and hospitality spaces offering stunning views over the lush Wadi Hanifa, which is home to parks, walks and immense open expanses. The complex – the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia – is found in a strategic location to the north of Riyadh, on King Khalid Road.
The Mirabilia project includes an array of different one- to four-bed villas, all at the high end of the market, with sizes ranging from 300 to 1400 square metres. The Roberto Cavalli group will provide exclusive consultancy services to the new owners of the villas, as well as customising the interiors of every one of the luxurious homes.
The overriding inspiration here is without doubt nature, with the outside world reflected through detailing inside. This effect is further heightened by the enormous glass walls running from floor to ceiling, allowing light to flood through.
The project – which will see investment of around €120 million – has been welcomed by Roberto Cavalli CEO Gian Giacomo Ferraris. “We’re excited to make our debut on the Saudi Arabia real-estate market as part of such a futuristic project which strikes right to the heart of modern luxury,” he said.
Dar Al Arkan chairman Yousef Bin Abdullah Al Shelash also expressed his satisfaction: “Mirabilia will redefine luxury living, offering its residents an exclusive residential experience here in Riyadh, in a unique setting which combines a meticulously looked after urban area, the beauty and style of Italian furniture courtesy of Robert Cavalli and the natural wonders of Wadi Hanifa.”
