A harmonious union

Uniting different influences, the Dress or Dressed project (also known as Dress & Dressed) was exhibited (during MDW) and continues to be exhibited with an intriguing set-up designed by Luciano Marson which combines two materials, as well as many different forms and creative minds, including that of Matteo Ragni, who is presenting his Fra-Thin table here, a contemporary interpretation of a Franciscan table whose new design is enhanced by Refin’s Craft collection.

Ceramiche Refin, comments marketing manager Paolo Cesana, “has initiated a series of carefully-selected collaborations with companies in the furniture world to integrate the form and substance of the company’s products into the design world.”

The display presented in the company’s Brera showrooms clearly expresses this new direction: not only the Ragni table, but also the new concept of doors, a bookcase and tables, all covered with a selection of Ceramiche Refin slabs.

The hinged or sliding L27 door, part of the LightsOn collection, is a monolith softened by the touch coating from the Arte Pura collection, which evokes textile, lace and macramé.

Sophisticated 1950s minimalist style is represented here by the L50 table (designed by Roberto Barazzuol and Cristian Malisan), whose shelf is represented by the Prestigio marble collections, whose top comes from the Prestigio marble collections.

The L18 bookcase, designed by Gianmaria Sforza, is distinguished by 18 columns that support the shelves, which are made from ceramic from Refin’s Overlay collection.

The wealth of options that Ceramiche Refin propose to “finish and define” a piece of furniture offer great potential for customization and significantly increase the options for the project world.

Dress or Dressed is not a starting point, but one stage of the journey that the company has embarked on to diversify its products and to enhance its range for architects and interior designers.

If Aristotle was alive today, he would have considered Dress or Dressed to be a concrete example of a “synthesis between form and matter.”
