Fimes, expressive combinations

New materials and innovative finishings, adaptable to all cabinet models, considerably amplifying the formal potential of Fimes solutions, towards new definitions of functionality and spatial organisation

Interchangeability is the buzzword of the renewed Fimes philosophy. A focal point for 2018 proposals which exponentially increase the project potential of its cabinets by means of a knowledgeable and original mix and match process.

The materials, finishings and impressive variety of accessories which enable these great protagonists of bedroom interiors to embrace a much wider array of expressive and functional capabilities, engage in in a constant and continuative dialogue between elements. Mauro and Laura Longoni, the latest generation at the company’s helm, explain: “The concept we aim to express is the ability of our wardrobes to interact between each other. In their diversity, Fimes solutions do not live divided into sectors, on the contrary, with reference to project development, finishings, size and compatibility, they all belong to a single family”.

Cue wardrobes with hinged, sliding and coplanar doors, walk-in wardrobes and Home Design (the furnishing programme for the home created last year, featuring wall-mounted shelf units and wardrobes of different depths, easily insertable within projects thanks to an innovative assembly system which ensures their autonomy from walls and ceilings). The research of renewed and innovative results has culminated in the evolution of these base elements, with the introduction of a new leather door (proposed on the Atmosfera model), clay doors, a new type of écru coloured free-standing walk-in-wardrobe, with back and fittings in melamine processed to recreate the typical weave of Bottega Veneta leather. There is also the extensive introduction of glass, with the model India, the walk-in-wardrobe which redefines the concept of space: a double-faced point of transit with integrated bed, enabling access to the wardrobe from either side. Even fabric makes an appearance as a distinctive sign of the wardrobe Sipario, coupled with the reorganisation of interior spaces, conceived not only in functional but also aesthetic, or even artistic terms. Sipario features an internal structure made up of compartments of different geometries (cubes, various parallelepipedons), fully lit and available in Rubelli embroidered fabric “conceived as a Mondrian”, whose suggestive effect is heightened by the remote control mechanism which enables doors to open out like the wings of a seagull. The result? Sheer amazement.
