The second edition of Isola Design District is coming

Among the events of the design week, there will also be those organized in the Isola neighborhood by the Isola Design District circuit. Which will also involve public settings and spaces

It is called Isola Design District the circuit of events that will take place during the Milan design week in the Isola neighborhood. Here, from 7 to 22 April, clubs, courtyards, businesses and artisan workshops that will be the scene of exhibitions, installations, workshops and events. Even the public spaces of the neighborhood will host projects and installations. Among these “Milan with coeur in man”, by Stefano Rossetti – founder of the creative island agency Pepe NyMi, who will present a series of installations inspired by the theme of hospitality and integration. In organizing the events of the District, restaurants and cocktail bars will also have a dedicated channel through Isola Food District, which will offer visitors a guide to the best clubs on the area.

Sponsors of Isola Design District, companies linked to the design sector, but not only. There will be Helios Arredo Urbano and Vasart Urban Design, two leading companies in the urban furniture market that – assisted by Antonio Lanzillo & Partner – in the space adjacent to the Stecca 3.0 will present Urban Club, a collection of furniture for public spaces that recalls the traditional models of public areas with concrete lounges, high metal benches, vertical green walls, designed to make metropolitan flows less static. Another District Sponsor will be Arjowiggins ‘Creative Papers’, a world-leading producer of creative media, offering a wide range of eco-sustainable natural papers, some of which will be used for the maps and guides of this second edition.

Among the countless events promoted by the Isola Design District, the Glimpses of German Design Trends project, conceived by the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce – which will use a container to present design complements conceived and created by young German talents – and the Convivium concept, curated by Matteo Berladi, which will be exhibited at the Key Gallery in via Borsieri 12, where the Friulian brand Elite To Be will give life to a new idea of ​​conviviality inspired by the transformations of the company and future hybrid living contexts.

The Isola Design District Opening Day is Tuesday, April 17th, when the locations involved will remain open after 9pm and an event with concert and DJ set up will entertain the public until 24:00.
