Porada International Design Award: the winners

The company has revealed the seven winners of the Porada International Design Award 2017, who will share a total cash prize of 12,000 euro; four projects in the Professionals category and three in the Students division, awarded for their capacity of grasping the competition’s philosophy by proposing innovative and original projects for the various types of tables: for the living space, coffee tables and side tables, representing the distinctive values ​​of a leading brand in Italian design such as Porada ".

In all, there were presented 209 projects, with numerous participations from Italy but with an equally positive international response.

For the Professionals category, the top prize went to Sliding Plates by Luca Giacomelli and Lorenzo Rossotti, a small table with three independent rotating tops, which allow changing the shape of the entire table surface and the configuration of the living space.

The second place is shared by Alessio Biava and Yu Hiraoka and the third price goes to Simone Alberto Gerbino.

In the Students category the first prize went to Nicole Maccari and Serena Chillé of the Politecnico di Milano for the Noua project, an element with an original multi-functionality, which can acts as a coffee table, thanks to the incorporated and removable plate, as a coin tray, thanks to a section carved under the plate, and as a magazine rack, thanks to a folded sheet of metal that is also the support of the entire table.

Second place for Andrea Pedulli and third place for Nicolò Devetag.

In addition to the winners, there were also three special recognitions: Ayse Yakar, Gabriele Vella and Tom Fereday.
