Second stop-over for Middle East Design Now!

With a special focus on traditional materials and production methods, Middle East Design Now! gathers designers and artists with experience in different creative areas, coming from a multitude of countries but all belonging to the Middle East area.

The tradition – in terms of materials and workmanship, as well as of patterns and inspirations – is the subject of the design research of 18 creative minds, but interpreted with an attention to the modern scene, conceived in its DNA and in its memory as an essential part of artifacts and graphics entirely contemporaneous.

The countries of origin are the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco.

Curated by Suzanne Trocme, this “nomadic” exhibition intends to reveal the Middle Eastern design approach with its features and values: the debut took place at the London Design Festival within the Designjunction backdrop, and then continued its journey landing on the Dubai Design Week.
