The shapes of lightness

Opera Contemporary brings a parade of furniture with sartorial sophistication to the catwalk. New models that display an intrinsic naturalness and a sophisticated allure conquer the scene and open a new stylistic era for the brand.
The collection was designed by the Castello Lagravinese studio.

The spotlight is on materials that range from black walnut to marble (Calacatta, Irish Green and Magic Brown), and on the important finishes in brushed brass. The forms are ennobled in the upholstery and the chairs that perfectly suit living and dining rooms with their soft, rounded lines. This is the case of the nubuck leather sofa Sophie, enveloping and comfortable, with rear in rhombus quilted upholstery. The Callas armchair features a light structure – made up of solid wood parts machined with 5 axes and finished by hand – which supports in an embrace the padding of the seat; the Louise chair combines craftsmanship (finishes) and high technology (perfect joints on the base). The line of the accessories displays a different approach with more marked geometries and graphic elements: evidence of this is the Raul line of coffee tables or the Victor series, which includes cupboards, chests of drawers, bedside tables and vanity desks; an aesthetic detail becomes the leitmotif of the collection.

The Oscar table is worthy of note – the design of which directly inspired the Gabriel coffee tables: the base seems to be formed by the combination of round petals finished in brushed brass, which create a pattern of openings and overlaps. This artistic element becomes the linke with the new home office solution and, in particular, the Erik writing desk, which combines curved lines (of the base and the black walnut surface) with the more rigid structure of the integrated chest of drawers.

With the new proposals – modelled on emphasising the formal aesthetics of the furniture for the day and night areas – Opera Contemporary offers an even more cosmopolitan and up-to-date vision of the brand, which knows how to pick up and translate the trends in interiors into fresh and captivating solutions.
