70 years of design

Designing, developing ideas, innovating and renewing oneself, taking on new challenges, new markets and exceeding one’s limits. The Fimes story is an sequence of imperatives, but also of successes. A long story of 70 years, to be celebrated in September, through the evolution of design which the company has assiduously pursued, focusing its own specialization in night area furniture.

This is the field into which Fimes has poured its creative soul, becoming one of the first creators of large size sliding doors for wardrobes (1.5 to 2 metres) and inventing the corner bed (which was subsequently made available in a rotating version as well.

Recently, an intrinsic dynamism of design led Fimes to conquer a new frontier: Home Design, a collection which is a tribute to the brand’s philosophy.

The flexibility and the key to this revolutionary programme for the home consists of equipped walls, closets, cabinets with depths of 50, 68,90 and 120 cm which are easy to configure (and therefore perfect for contract solutions), thanks to an innovative installation system that keeps them separate from walls and ceilings.
Everything can be combined with the sliding doors, leaf doors and containers in many different finishes.

In the year of Fimes’ 70th anniversary, the collection expands and consolidates on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile. New elements are added to the Home Design family, including the Up&Down closet, featuring sliding doors and leaf doors on the top part; the exclusive Armadio-Cabina, a free standing element that can be manufactured in a double sided, and therefore double entrance, version; the Larmadio, which allows combinations of elements with leaf doors, compartments and day time elements; and the India closet (designed initially for a residential project) to be placed behind a double bed, generating new spatial configurations in the room. More explicit tributes to the day area abound, with the Ar-madia cupboard that sports a sliding door and the Block display cabinet available in a standard size only, unlike other elements of the system which provide various sizing options.

They stand beside the great protagonists of the exhibition, which are none other than the new proposals for beds including the Royal (which is completely upholstered) and the Domino (with a wooden frame, upholstered headboard and sides featuring containers); the already existing Infinity and Yugen models have been given a new air with innovative finishing.
