Nature key for Walter Knoll

After a successful 2016, Walter Knoll has kicked off 2017 by unveiling a range of new products combining natural materials and impeccable craftsmanship.
Austrian design studio EOOS – which is celebrating 20 years of working with Walter Knoll – played a key role in channelling these values into the new creations.
First up among the new raft of products is Tama Living, a modular sofa fusing elegance and comfort. Designed to meet those day-to-day needs, the sofa is perfect for both relaxation and entertaining.
Also on show at the brand’s sumptuous Imm Cologne stand, which was also designed by EOOS, are new versions of the Oki Table and Joco Stone side tables featuring table tops in marble and onyx, with the sculptural quality of the tables adding character to the space. Indeed, the brass versions of Oki and Joco pay tribute to the brand’s manufacturing traditions: the former uses lightness and geometric lines to create contrast, while the laser-etched decorative patterns on the table top of the latter bring an element of shadow.

The new Tadeo table represents a fresh interpretation of the classic solidity of natural materials, with the solid-wood table top stretching to four metres in length.
By contrast, the 375 line of padded seats is reminiscent of a more modern, 1950s-inspired style. The unique fabrics used are a nod to the brand’s “Natural Elegance” philosophy, with a range of shades helping to accentuate the delicateness of these natural materials.
