FontanaArte acquired by ICG

ItalianCreationGroup (ICG) has acquired the historic Milanese company FontanaArte, which was founded back in 1932 by creative geniuses Gio Ponti and Luigi Fontana. The objective is to strengthen the brand’s presence in Italy and abroad, with ICG set to inject significant economic investment to realise the goal.

Giovanni Perissinotto (president of ICG) and Stefano Core (CEO) will be the new directors of FontanaArte, bringing their burgeoning managerial experience and know-how to the company table. The FontanaArte deal is ICG’s third majority acquisition, after Valcucine (in 2015) and Driade (in 2013).

«I’m proud to welcome FontanaArte into ICG. They are a wonderful example of the Made in Italy brand – declares CEO and founder Stefano Core – This step will surely lead to important new partnerships».

According to the agreement, FontanaArte – which is entirely owned by Nice S.p.A – will separate its operational area from the main company and transfer this to a new company, which will be controlled exclusively by FontanaArte S.p.A. The new company will then be transferred to ItalianCreationGroup. The goal is to foster common ground within the group to promote coherent development which reflects the values, experience and talent within each individual company.
