The culture of design knows no limits. B&B Italia brings its cultural heritage and history to the world’s capitals of Design, New York and London, on the occasion of its 50 anniversary. An exclusive event at The Morgan Library&Museum in the Big Apple, repeated in an equally unique evening in the Switch House of the Tate Modern, recently opened.
Thus the iconic world of design illustrated by the Italian brand converges with the universe of arts and culture, in a perfect unity of purpose.
In these two exceptional backgrounds, different in style but equally appealing, distinguished interpreters of international architecture and design, the brand gathered half-century of company history also portrayed by the two projects conceived for the anniversary and presented during the events: the documentary film “B&B Italia. La poesia nella forma. Quando il design incontra l’industria” (B&B Italia. The poetry of forms. When design meets industry ), which presents 50 years of history in 50 intense minutes full of interviews and images; and the book “La lunga vita del design in Italia. B&B Italia 50 anni e oltre” (The long life of design in Italy. B&B Italia 50 years and more), edited by Stefano Casciani, published by Skira in Italian and English, with the contribution of Renzo Piano, Ferruccio de Bortoli and Deyan Sudjic, exploring the most important aspects of B&B Italia world: history and latest news, the innovative approach implemented through manufacturing and technologies, the campus building in Novedrate and much more.
Thus B&B Italia confirms the link between the two cities, developed over the years through the fulfillment of innovative projects and numerous collaborations.
