Promising opening for Index

Has been launched today the 25th edition of Index, that will animate the Dubai World Trade Centre until the 26th of May; it is the stand-out calendar event for the interior and product design sector in the Middle East and the perfect opportunity for industry professionals to put their heads together. Even if it is the first day of the event, you can easly breath freshness and innovation, and also a good response in terms of participations.

Within pavillion 6 there are many Italian brands, specialized in contemporary and classic furniture, in outdoor and indoor, as well as in kitchen, bath and other fields. Samuele Mazza Outdoor Collection, DL Decor, Host, Medea, Talenti, followed by Keoma, Iride and DFN are just few names that represent the Made in Italy in Middle East, located close to the French collective.

Honour guest during the present edition is Karim Rashid, renowned designer that entertains the public partecipating (today) in the Design Talks. Those debates stimulate the creativity of the attendace, touching upon multiple subjects and interrogating different personalities of interior design, and not only.

The fair is organized in 30,000 sq m space, where 12 themes will follow one the other: Design, Eco, Elements, Sleep, Kitchen & Bathroom, Technology, Furniture & Furnishings, Lighting, Artisan, Textiles and Objects.

A variety of international brands (over 700 in 2015), trends and creative styles enlive the four-day event of Arabic Peninsula, ready to welcome guests –that last year was 29.000 – from many countries.

Among the numerous initiatives, two awards ceremonies: the MEIDA for interior design in the Middle East and North Africa, and the Product Design Awards for product excellence in the residential and retail sectors.
