First landing for Panerai in the US

Officine Panerai’s first flagship store in the US was designed by Patricia Urquiola. Stylish, yet welcoming, the space extends over two floors and more than 2000 sq feet in the Miami Design District. The Spanish designer was fascinated by this new, attractive location: «I see a new Miami now, a Miami 3.0, with the same values as before but with more attention to quality and internalization.  The Design District is one of the better exemples of this process, bound to the world of art and design, also by physical vicinity». Urquiola has interpreted aesthetic and technical codes of the watchmaker, paying heed to its identity and timeless design. The designer has succeeded in respecting tradition with a look that is modern and current, finding an appropriate link between the past and the future.

Featuring a very characteristic customized chandelier, the inside of the store reflects a simple and functional design concept, like that of the brand’s watches, and the materials used – “calacatta luccicoso” veined marble, bronze and wood – perfectly express the company’s history, refered both to its Florentine origins and to the universe of the sea.
