In perfect harmony

Opera Contemporary is all set for this year’s Milan Furniture Fair. Aside from the latest new additions to its interior design range, the brand’s collections now feature a striking sense of stylistic uniformity, allowing the quality of the manufacturing – something synonymous with the Opera Contemporary world – to shine through. With its pared-down, elegant charm – a combination of classic style and fresh, contemporary design – the brand has made swift progress in the furniture industry, latching onto new style trends when it made its debut and later blazing its own, market-conquering trail through the sector.

The common denominator running through all of the great many products on show at Milan Furniture Fair is the use of capitonné-style deep-buttoned upholstery for soft furniture and Ebony as the finish for the complementary furniture. «The decision to maintain some common features between all of the pieces is part of an attempt to create a sense of sophisticated harmony between spaces – explains Brand Manager Stefano Zecca – as well as the fact that these elements are particularly synonymous with the brand, things for which we are renowned and appreciated.» The overall vibe is one of delicacy, with light, pale colours king: the Rosalie Classic collection of soft furniture features rigid lines and low backrests with capitonné-style upholstery, something that reappears as part of the Parsifal Classic line, but with a softer, more welcoming design style. In the Leandro living room capitonné becomes the prevalent feature, adorning the entire outer structure of sofas and armchairs, while the bedrooms pack a serious stylistic punch: Clarissa features a pattern of squared upholstered panels in the headboard and side section, while the brand-new Osiride bed draws inspiration from the best-selling Butterfly, recreating its curvy, elegant lines. Another of the common themes in the collection is the use of diverse, exotic Makassar Ebony, which features on the Oreste dining table, the Orfeo windows and Alfio side tables.

Dazzling effects that enhance the room are created by the chromed finishes for Teseo small tables and console, by the new Augustin collection burnished metal and brushed brass metal that embellish the bases and details of the different pieces.
