There is always a lot of buzz around imm Cologne. Lots of International visitors, from Europe and not only. Many exhibitors start the year presenting a foretaste of their collection (the very best is kept for the Salone del Mobile in April).
The Cologne appointment still remains a required stop to meet clients and dealers, to test, at the beginning of the year, the sector tendency, to have an idea of interior and décor trends. This is what characterises also this edition of imm Cologne. Among the hallways you can feel a positive sensation, rich in expectations. After all, “well began, half done”!
The public response has been satisfying and in the same way the furniture brands have offered a lot to appreciate. The attention to natural, delicate shades, the search for plain atmospheres, but not less committed, has accompanied the many interior proposals.
Between the most successful segment, Pure, the pavilion dedicated to design, definitely has to be recommended. This year it has been reorganised and placed side by side to Pure Editions (for the most innovative projects) and Pure Talents (for the young experimental design). While the big brands are reunited at the Pure space (pavilions 11 and 10.1), where large displays offer refined furniture solutions more and more complete for the different rooms of the house, the creative freedom is expressed in the Pure Edition area (pavilions 2.2 and 3.2), not only in the products but also in the installations of the exhibition that aim to astonish the visitors.
An excellent feedback has been registered for the biennial LivingInteriors, dedicated to the bathroom, floors, walls and lighting.
Before talking about figures we must await the end of the event. For the moment we choose to trust in this perception of optimism and continue to enjoy the design in its multifaceted expressions.
