B&B, design trendsetter since 50 years

B&B Italia starts 2016 with the launch in Cologne of brand new projects for the living and outdoor spaces. Fist of all, Richard, the new seating system which distinguishes itself by its balanced contemporary design, with references to classical atmospheres. Its modular theme is developed by 76 elements in two depths. The extreme flexibility of the system and the ease with which the different elements can be assembled allows the living space to be interpreted in the most varied configurations, from formal to more relaxed, with seats, benches, ottomans and chaise longue.

Among the outdoor novelties, Gio, designed by Antonio Citterio, is the new series with a contemporary classic accent dedicated to living in the open air. A complete range of sofas, end units, chaise longue, sunbeds, armchairs, chairs, tables and complements which have been developed from solid teak structures with a special antique grey finish, which gives the wood a particular lived-in aspect and silver-grey reflective quality.

This evening, Kölnischer Kunstverein will host the first event of the 50th anniversary: a screening of the film B&B Italia. Poetry in the shape. When design meets industry. The movie – born from the synergy and teamwork with 3D Produzioni/Sky Arte HD – was successfully premiered last October in Milan as part of the Design Film Festival framework.
