Starred cuisine at the Mandarin Oriental

The high quality hospitality goes hand in hand with the menu’s excellence at the Mandarin Oriental Milan. The gourmet restaurant, Seta, which is located in the second courtyard of the hotel, has been included in the prestigious Michelin Guide, with the achievement of a Star.

Just a few months after the opening the restaurant has already accumulated several awards; last October, in fact, the Seta was also awarded the Tre Forchette (three forks) of Gambero Rosso.

The Executive Chef Antonio Guida is not a new name for these awards, having arrived at the Mandarin after directing the kitchens of Il Pellicano two-star restaurant, in Porto Ercole. The cuisine created for the Seta represents the sublimation of his cooking philosophy, which combines it strong Italian roots and influences from his many years of experience in France and Tuscany. The result is a celebration of the Italian cuisine, inspired by contemporary art, which focuses on balanced, but still new and surprising, combinations for the palate.

The experience is enhanced by the sophisticated environment in which it’s located. Large windows overlooking the internal courtyard, among buildings dating back to the 18th century; an open kitchen where you can watch the masters at work; a warm and refined interior that combines Oriental tradition and Italian design by the duo Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel.
