Lightness and movement for the House of Dior store in Seoul

Expressing the movement and the lightness of a precious fabric: this is the objective that Pritzker Prize Laureate Christian de Portzamparc set himself in designing the House of Dior in Seul. The French architect conceived a stunning architectural structure to get across the tailoring skills and haute couture features that have always characterised the Paris fashion house. The six-storey building is comprised of a highly fluid, floral and feminine part, which brings to mind a high couture dress, and a more rigorous, geometric male half at the back. The interior, designed by Peter Marino – known as one of the world’s best interior designers and authoritative interpreter of luxury stores –  also reflects the spirit of the fashion designer, and it does so with a creative vision and a total experience.

Besides the collections of clothing and accessories for men and women, shoes, brand jewelry and watches, the store hosts an exhibition space and the Cafè Dior run by chef patissier Pierre Herme, as well as an art gallery displaying works specially created by international artists.
