Calma e Gesso. The evolution of the billiard table

The snooker player will always pause for a moment to reflect before attempting to pot a difficult ball, slowly rubbing chalk on the end of his cue stick.  This particular moment of intense concentration is evoked by the Calma e Gesso brand conceived by  Gregg Brodarick of BD Collection and Adriano Design.

Unmistakably Italian in its quality design and production, the brand is presenting a new series of luxury lifestyle products to target an International market, starting from a range of upscale gaming tables.

The first challenge taken on by Calma e Gesso has been that of revisiting a particular product – the billiard table – with a longstanding tradition but a somewhat limited development. Starting out from its most salient traditional elements, Adriano Design has managed to suspend the green felt billiard cloth in an ethereal crystalline structure. The innovation consists in having created an adjustable and divisible frame in fine steel to support the slate playing surface, but also in the clear glass structure defining this exclusive design.
