Colombostile. The Capsule Collection is in blue

It has become a happy custom for Colombostile to present in September its capsule collection. The company, internationally known for its luxury proposals, offers so from time to time small beads of furniture with new shapes, precious materials or a particular color trend.

And this year the colour is the leitmotif of the capsule collection 2015. The three pieces that compose it have in common the blue, interpreted through three different types of furniture (chair, sofa, lamp) and three different materials (velvet, leather and stone).

Elena Viganò signed the sofa, with its semi-classical shape and characterised by distinctive padded arms with broad “Venetian ribbing” top stitching on the sides and “couturier” details. Silk satin piping in gilded bronze colour stands out against midnight blue velvet.

The creative and design team of Colombostile has created an unusual dining chair with classical lines which certainly isn't classical at all. The skill of the craftsmen who built it is masterfully evident in the leather – light full-grain leather and midnight blue nabuck leather – covering the whole structure with painstaking precision.

“Not identical copy” of a nineteenth-century model the design of the lamp preserved in the archives of Colombostile is brought back to life in this edition made in magnificent marble, Blue Sodalite from Bolivia, enhanced with a strip of hand carved and gouache gilded wood. The silk lampshade is, obviously, blue, decorated with an elegant golden trimming.
