Artemide lights up Expo

Artemide has been chosen as preferred partner to light five of the most important halls of the Expo Milan.

The Hall of Banca Intesa San Paolo, designed by Michele de Lucchi with ecological and recyclable materials that are inspired by the natural elements, is illuminated by Artemide systems both externally and internally. Among the models chosen are Empathy Suspension 36, Pito 100 Led, Daedalus System and Algorithm System.

While the Pavilion of Slow Food, which recreates the atmosphere of conviviality of a market, Herzog & De Meuron who have signed the project, chose lamps Unterlinden drawn from them. There are 15 lighting systems by Artemide chosen for the Pavilion of Brazil, designed by Studio Arthur Casas, with its popular net suspended over the plants and buds. The Pavilion of Kuwait, designed by Studio Italo Rota, is particularly evocative lighting. Again designed by Studio Italo Rota, the Hall of Wine is illuminated with 37 Cube and Semi-Recessed Ceiling Pad 80.

Artemis has also illuminated the village Expo in Cascina Merlata, designed according to the most advanced principles of environmental sustainability: there are over 6,000 LED lamps that the company has provided for the 400 apartments at the village.
